DAVE AKERS:
Dave Akers, a Licensed Professional Engineer, pioneered acquiring physical
measurements of Earthlights in the early 70s, during the outbreak of activity
on the Yakama Indian Reservation. We wish to thank Dave for his
participation and in an IEA 2003 expedition. He guided Strand and Adams to
several interesting Washington state locations, Toppenish, Red Mountain, and
Trout Lake to name a few. He arranged interviews with eye-witness Native
American fire lookout observers. He also participated in the scientific
data acquisition using a magnetometer he assembled himself. Dave runs a
non-profit organization for the study of Earthlights in the Toppenish area.
